How To Use Evatac Q5 Taclite

There are three distinct modes of light. strobe, low beam, and high beam. You may move between the three settings by softly touching the orange on/off switch after turning the light on. The order is a high beam first, then a low beam, and then strobe mode.

The light will be in low beam mode the next time you switch it on if you use the high beam mode first. The next time you turn it on after turning it off in low beam mode, it will be in strobe mode. There needs to be a reset feature that instantly returns the light to one mode once it is turned off.

The light’s front section may move in either direction, acting as a movable “zoom” for the beam. The light will make a lovely circle when this is fully slid back. The beam is concentrated into a more condensed space when it is moved forward.

A sharply defined, peculiar-looking form is projected when the beam is zoomed out to its maximum distance. It looks like the LED was designed in this form.
According to the specs, the beam may reach heights of 1100 feet.

What Verified Customers Have To Say About Evatac Q5 Taclite

Right out of the box I was happy with this light, but then I started using it. The battery compartment is way too large for a AA battery which can result in the flashlight working when it wants to rather than when you need it to. The beveled edge can undo itself, leaving the LED unprotected which can quickly become damaged.

Even though the Q5 by EVATAC is very affordable I believe that there are much better options available, even at that low price point.

It went out after a couple of months of use. It is small and compact. I wouldn’t recommend getting this flashlight though.

What I disliked about this product was that there were not any instructions on what size battery it takes. It turns out that it does take Double AA batteries. The opening for the Double AA battery was much larger than the diameter of the DOUBLE AA battery. What I liked most is that it seems to be made out of reasonably reliable metal on first use, and the light is fair for such a small flashlight. The old saying “You get what you pay for” is very true. You may want to consider this light to be a little more useful than a disposable penlight. Col (Ret) Glenn Ekblad
